Nonlinear behavior of piezoceramics at strong electric fields is a well-known phenomenon and is described by various hysteresis curves. On the other hand, nonlinear vibration behavior of piezoceramics at weak electric fields has recently been attracting considerable attention. Ultrasonic motors (USM) utilize the piezoceramics at relatively weak electric fields near the resonance. The consistent efforts to improve the performance of these motors has led to a detailed investigation of their nonlinear behavior. Typical nonlinear dynamic effects can be observed, even if only the stator is experimentally investigated. At weak electric fields, the vibration behavior of piezoceramics is usually described by constitutive relations linearized around an operating point. However, in experiments at weak electric fields with longitudinal vibrations of piezoceramic rods, a typical nonlinear vibration behavior similar to that of the USM-stator is observed at near-resonance frequency excitations. The observed behavior is that of a softening Duffing-oscillator, including jump phenomena and multiple stable amplitude responses at the same excitation frequency and voltage. Other observed phenomena are the decrease of normalized amplitude responses with increasing excitation voltage and the presence of superharmonics in spectra. In this paper, we have attempted to model the nonlinear behavior using higher order (quadratic and cubic) conservative and dissipative terms in the constitutive equations. Hamilton's principle and the Ritz method is used to obtain the equation of motion that is solved using perturbation techniques. Using this solution, nonlinear parameters can be fitted from the experimental data. As an alternative approach, the partial differential equation is directly solved using perturbation techniques. The results of these two different approaches are compared.  相似文献

Particle–boundary and particle–particle interactions in Electrophoresis are examined by considering a 2-particle cluster near a plane boundary. The advocated treatment holds for two insulating particles of arbitrary shapes and zeta potential functions and resorts to 13 boundary-integral equations. Preliminary results reveal that, depending upon the addressed velocity nature (translational or angular), wall–particle may be stronger or weaker than particle–particle interactions. The field equations governing the propagation of waves in an incompressible liquid-saturated porous medium are investigated and a general solution is presented. It has been revealed that coupled longitudinal and transverse waves propagate in the porous medium. The propagation of transverse waves in the fluid phase is completely due to the interaction between the solid and fluid phases. The dispersion relationship and attenuation features are discussed. Unlike other investigations, all explicit forms of the arguments are derived. The reflection of the plane harmonic waves at the plane, traction-free boundary, which shows the influence of the dissipation on the velocity, and the attenuation coefficients of the reflected waves is studied. It is of interest that pore pressure is produced in the process of reflection, even in the case of the incidence of transverse waves.  相似文献

In this paper, we present an InAs/GaSb type-II superlattice (SL) with the M-structure for the fabrication of a long-wavelength (10 μm range) infrared (LWIR) focal plane arrays (FPA), which are grown by molecular beam epitaxy (MBE). The M-structure is named for the shape of the band alignment while the AlSb layer is inserted into the GaSb layer of InAs/GaSb SL. A 320 × 256 LWIR FPA has been fabricated with low surface leakage and high R0A product of FPA pixels by using anodic sulfide and SiO2 physical passivation. Experiment results show that the devices passivated with anodic sulfide obviously have higher R0A than the un-sulphurized one. The 50% cutoff wavelength of the LWIR FPA is 9.1 μm, and the R0A is 224 Ω cm2 with the average detectivity of 2.3 × 1010 cm Hz1/2 W−1.  相似文献

The low-frequency noise is a ubiquitous phenomenon and the spectral power density of this fluctuation process is inversely proportional to the frequency of the signal. We have measured the 1/f noise of a 640 × 512 pixel quantum well infrared photodetector (QWIP) focal plane array (FPA) with 6.2 μm peak wavelength. Our experimental observations show that this QWIP FPA’s 1/f noise corner frequency is about 0.1 mHz. With this kind of low frequency stability, QWIPs could unveil a new class of infrared applications that have never been imagined before. Furthermore, we present the results from a similar 1/f noise measurement of bulk InAsSb absorber (lattice matched to GaSb substrate) nBn detector array with 4.0 μm cutoff wavelength.  相似文献

Consider the lattice of bounded linear operators on the space of Borel measures on a Polish space. We prove that the operators which are continuous with respect to the weak topology induced by the bounded measurable functions form a sublattice that is lattice isomorphic to the space of transition kernels. In this paper, we consider a three dimensional quantum Navier‐Stokes‐Poisson equations. Existence of global weak solutions is obtained, and convergence toward the classical solution of the incompressible Navier‐Stokes equation is rigorously proven for well prepared initial data. In this article, we consider the coupled Navier–Stokes and Darcy problem with the Beavers–Joseph interface condition. With suitable restrictions of physical parameters α and ν, we prove the existence and local uniqueness of a weak solution. Then we propose a coupled finite element scheme and a decoupled and linearized scheme based on two‐grid finite element. Under suitable further restrictions, their optimal error estimates are obtained. Finally numerical experiments indicate the validity of the theoretical results as well as the efficiency and effectiveness of the decoupled and linearized two‐grid algorithm. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. We establish various properties for the zero sets of three families of bivariate Hermite polynomials. Special emphasis is given to those bivariate orthogonal polynomials introduced by Hermite by means of a Rodrigues type formula related to a general positive definite quadratic form. For this family we prove that the zero set of the polynomial of total degree n+mn+m consists of exactly n+mn+m disjoint branches and possesses n+mn+m asymptotes. A natural extension of the notion of interlacing is introduced and it is proved that the zero sets of the family under discussion obey this property. The results show that the properties of the zero sets, considered as affine algebraic curves in R2R2, are completely different for the three families analyzed.  相似文献
